Founder
Michael had a vision: to enhance events productivity and potential ROI.
Seeing a void in the market for an efficient, cost-effective, and
technology-based system that would increase the efficiency of on-the-spot event
registration, enhance event security, and provide significant flexibility and
reporting/management options, he created one.
As president of Astornet Technologies, Inc., a technology company he founded in
1999, Michael and his team developed and patented SmoothMeetings in 2004,
in addition to a building-security system, ExpressAdmission.
Michael earned his MBA from the University of Maryland, a Masters of Science in
Computer Engineering from The University of Cincinnati, and his Master of
Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from the
Université Catholique De Louvain in Belgium.
The company is based in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
